Kona Coffee
Kona Coffee Steak Sauce
6 slices of bacon, chopped
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp butter
*Optional: ¼ cup vermouth, cognac, or white wine
First, fry up some bacon in a saucepan until it's nice and crispy, then take it out. Add butter to the bacon fat and caramelize the onion and garlic. Pour this mixture into a blender and puree. Pour all ingredients back into the saucepan and simmer on low. *Add vermouth, cognac, or white wine if so inclined.
2 tsp Kona coffee extract
salt, pepper (to taste)
*Optional: fresh herbs, your choice
Stir in Deaf Girl Walking’s Kona extract and seasonings.
Chef's Kiss: Now it's time for the fun part! I love using fresh herbs, so I enjoy making a chimichurri sauce while the steak cooks. Some people prefer adding a bay leaf or fresh rosemary to the saucepan and calling it a day. It's totally your choice. If you want a chimichurri recipe, just let me know!
